Members and Friends of Het Nieuwe Instituut are invited for the symposium What You Don't See and the guided tour of I See That I See What You Don't See.
This exhibition explores the complex relationship between light and dark – between seeing and not seeing – and its effects on people, the earth and other organisms. I See That I See What You Don't See was the official Dutch contribution to the XXII Triennale di Milano earlier this year.
Symposium What You Don't See
The symposium What You Don't See brings together artists, designers, researchers, scientists, poets and theorists to reflect on the influence and potential of darkness: from dark matter to blackness, from blackouts to burnouts, from day to night, from microbes to stars.
Friends and Members can attend the symposium free of charge. You can register by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org (regular price € 22,50).
Francien van Westrenen, one of the curators of the exhibition, will give Friends and Members of Het Nieuwe Instituut a guided tour of exhibition I See That I See What You Don't See.
Participation is free for you and a guest. You can register here.
